Hi, I’m Marta — founder of CORE
Also known as Grumpy Jogger :)
I created CORE because I know what it feels like when your body doesn't feel like it's working with you. After more than 15 years working and learning in the health and fitness industry, I've experienced my own share of setbacks, frustration, and starting over. Now, I'm bringing what I've learned along the way to a wider audience — with the knowledge, tools, and support to help women do the same.
CORE helps women rebuild their bodies from the inside out — turning knowledge into action, then turning action into habits that work for them — even when life changes.
CORE brings together three areas that have shaped my work:
✨ Simple habits, planning & accountability
🥗 Nutrition & wellness strategies
🩰 Movement (Pilates, fitness, running)
I may be a coach by profession, but off-duty, I'm a runner, traveller, bookworm, picture-taker, annoying wife, animal lover & proud mom of 4 kitties 🐾. And my favorite food is pizza! 🍕😁
You can read about my traveling alter ego on my blog, Grumpy Nomad Cat, where I help you plan less and travel better.

Why CORE Exists
CORE exists because I realised most people don’t struggle with knowledge — they struggle with consistency.
For years, I saw the same pattern: people trying harder, following stricter plans, and still ending up stuck.
More than 15 years of working with people taught me that lasting changes don't come from motivation alone. They come from understanding what you need, turning that knowledge into action, and building habits that fit your life.
So I stopped focusing on motivation and started focusing on what actually helps people take action — then keep adapting when life changes.

My unique take?
I BELIEVE KNOWING WHAT TO DO ISN'T ENOUGH.
CORE HELPS YOU TURN KNOWLEDGE INTO ACTION — THEN TURN ACTION INTO HABITS.
What Shaped CORE
1. WHO I AM AND WHAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH — THE ORIGINS OF CORE:
I'm a CORE Coach and Founder, and I’ve spent years in the fitness and wellness world, but I’ve also lived the reality most people don’t talk about — inconsistency when life gets messy. Not the “I don’t know what to do” kind. The “I know what to do, I just can’t keep doing it when life gets messy” kind.
I’ve dealt with:
-
Falling off routines every time I travelled
-
Burnout from trying to “do it all” and do it perfectly
-
Starting and stopping fitness more times than I can count
-
Gaining and losing weight and being unhappy with the way I look
-
Back pain, stiffness, and poor posture from inconsistent and poorly executed movement
-
Feeling weak, disconnected from my body
-
Digestive issues, bloating, eczema, and low energy affecting daily life
-
Being strict, but not consistent, and trying to “fix myself” with more discipline instead of better systems and structure
-
Feeling healthy on paper but not feeling good in my life
-
Planning everything perfectly, but still feeling like I couldn’t hold it together
I’ve also rebuilt my entire life after moving across the world — while dealing with health issues, unpredictable schedules, and constantly shifting routines.
So yes — I understand what it feels like when effort doesn’t translate into consistency.
2. WHAT I HAVE OVERCOME — AND HOW:
At some point, I stopped trying to fix myself with more motivation, discipline, or perfect routines. Instead, I started building systems. Simple structures that still work when life doesn’t. That shift changed everything.
I moved out of chronic inconsistency, constant restart cycles, and the frustration of doing “all the right things” but not seeing it stick.
Over time, I rebuilt my health, stabilised my gut and skin, returned to running and training consistently, and created a lifestyle that supports my energy instead of draining it.
Not through perfection — but through structure that adapts.
3. WHAT I REALISED ALONG THE WAY:
-
Consistency has nothing to do with motivation
-
Routines have to bend with life, or they break
-
Discipline without structure doesn’t last
-
Your environment shapes most of your habits
-
Health improves when habits match your identity
-
Most people don't need more information — they need a way to turn what they know into something they can actually do.
These weren’t ideas I learned from theory.
They came from trial, error, and rebuilding my own life over and over again.

4. WHAT CHANGED WHEN I CHANGED MY APPROACH:
Here’s what changed when I stopped relying on motivation:
-
I built daily and weekly systems that hold up even when I travel or change routines
-
I learned how to better manage my gut and skin by paying attention to my habits, lifestyle, and body signals.
-
I rebuilt my running and fitness without restarting from scratch every few months
-
I created a lifestyle that feels calmer, more stable, and more aligned with my energy
-
I developed frameworks that help simplify health, training, and habits in everyday life.
-
I stopped living in cycles of “start over” and learned how to adjust instead.
-
I turned planning, organisation, and structure into strengths that transformed my health and my business.
I didn’t become a different person.
I just stopped trying to force myself into routines and habits that didn’t fit my life.
5. WHAT CORE IS BUILT ON:
-
Building routines that actually fit your life
-
Staying consistent through travel, stress, and change
-
Simplifying training, food, and health instead of overcomplicating them
-
Building habits you can maintain and adapt
-
Supporting sleep, stress, energy and recovery
-
Learning how to reset without starting over
-
Creating a lifestyle that feels stable instead of reactive
This is not about perfection.
It’s about building something you can actually live with.
6. WHY I CHOSE THE NAME "CORE":
CORE started from my own struggles.
I was born with a hyperextended lumbar spine that caused ongoing back issues. That led me to physiotherapy and Pilates at an early age. Later, I started experiencing gut problems, which made me focus more on internal health and the importance of gut health and the microbiome. "Core" has become not only my interest but my life. And rebuilding my body from the inside out became my priority.
Over time, what started as personal problem-solving evolved into the CORE approach to health, movement, habits, and lifestyle.
Now I want to share my knowledge and experience with a larger audience. I want people not only to understand what their body needs, but to turn that knowledge into action — and learn how to make it last.
I kept the name CORE because it represents what I believe:
To build a strong and healthy body, we need both internal and external health. One cannot exist without the other.
Health is built from the inside out — through the way you care for your body, the habits you build, and the way you adapt when life changes.
