About me & CORE

I have been a fitness coach for over a decade. Recently however I adopted a quite different approach to health and fitness.

I started having chronic health issues over 5 years ago. Despite being "healthy and active" I kept getting worse. My gut was upset most of the time, my skin started to flare up with eczema and different types of rashes, and then exhaustion and brain fog kicked in.

I consulted many different specialists (GPs, dermatologists, gastroenterologists, immunologists... Name it, I've done it...) I have done multiple blood tests, ranging from basic panels to extensive ones including hormones, mineral and vitamin deficiencies etc I have done other tests, like endoscopy, colonoscopy, and different types of allergy tests. Just to hear that I am a "picture of health" and there is nothing wrong with me. Yet I kept getting more and more ill.

Then I started looking at the body more holistically. I learned that gut issues can manifest in skin and mental health problems. Most of the doctors were denying the connection and one wanted to help me by looking at my body as one big picture. They would always favour their speciality and their "favourite" organ.

Years of struggles with my health made me drop the whole "fitness & diets" approach. Instead, I started learning and implementing more healing routines

This is why I created CORE. To share my story, and my message, and to help others learn from my experience.

Now instead of writing workout routines and diet plans, I help my clients with:

  • Learning how to manage and reduce stress,

  • Improve sleep quality

  • Improve their relationship with food and dietary habits

  • Learn how to make healthier food choices and make it sustainable

  • Improve gut health

  • Find ways to make physical activity part of their life and love it (instead of following a gruelling workout regime)

  • Strengthen the body with Pilates, running, and others

  • Implement behaviour change techniques to change their habits

  • Lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way

  • Learn more about their body and health

  • Improve overall health, well-being and energy levels

What is Health Coaching?

Health coaching is a personalised and holistic approach that aims to empower my clients to achieve their health and wellness goals.

Health coaching facilitates sustainable lifestyle changes, cultivates habits that promote health and wellness, enhances overall well-being, and ultimately enhances your quality of life.

The nutrition coaching part teaches you how to make healthier food choices, improve dietary habits, and achieve nutrition-related goals that will lead to improved gut health, possibly weight loss and enhanced overall well-being.

Here are 10 KEY ASPECTS of HEALTH COACHING:

  1. Goal Setting: Health coaches help clients clarify their health goals and aspirations, breaking them down into manageable and achievable steps.

  2. Personalization: Health coaching takes into account your unique needs, preferences, and lifestyle. Coaches create customized plans tailored to your specific goals, whether you're focused on weight management, improving athletic performance, managing medical conditions, or just adopting a healthier diet.

  3. Behaviour Change: Identifying and addressing obstacles to behaviour change is a very important and very often missed step. Whether they relate to nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep, or other aspects of health and wellness, your coach will help you address and modify them.

  4. Education and Information: Health coaches provide evidence-based information and resources to help clients make informed decisions about their health. They offer guidance on topics such as nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and self-care practices.

  5. Accountability: Your coach will always hold you accountable for your actions and commitments, helping you stay focused and motivated on your journey toward better health. Coaches may use tools like food journals, tracking apps, or face-to-face meetings to monitor progress and provide support.

  6. Empowerment: Health coaches empower clients to take ownership of their health and well-being, fostering self-efficacy and confidence in their ability to make positive changes.

  7. Supportive Relationship: Health coaching involves building a supportive and non-judgmental relationship between the coach and the client. Coaches provide empathy, encouragement, and understanding, creating a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and successes

  8. Long-Term Sustainability: A more holistic approach to coaching promotes long-term lifestyle changes rather than short-term diets and workout plans. The focus is on creating habits and routines that can be sustained over time, leading to improved health and well-being.

  9. Collaboration: Nutrition coaches may work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, fitness trainers, or mental health therapists, to provide comprehensive care.

  10. Accessibility & Comfort: Online Health Coaching provides the opportunity to work with your coach no matter where you live and what your schedule looks like.
